Chris Stifel
Blue
Daze’s newest member is Capital area treasure Chris Stifel, whose fluid guitar
lines and dynamic vocal ability combine to create a truly magnetic musical
presence. Originally a banjoist, Chris switched to guitar
when he replaced Keith Whitley in Jimmy Gaudreau’s “Country Store.”
With a Rebel recording to their credit, “Country Store” toured nationally
and won a level of respect in the Bluegrass world that lives on to this day.
Additional stints with “Grass Menagerie” and “Acoustic Outlet” have
served to hone Stifel’s craft to a fine cutting edge, capturing audiences
through shear emotional honesty and tastefulness. Chris’
lifelong dedication to
Bluegrass is matched only by his passion for
fly fishing and racquet sports. Chris currently resides in Brookeville,
MD.
